Our HistoryBlack Students' Alliance was founded on September 9, 1967 in the basement of Dr. Robert L. Green's home. This organization was created at the time of student protests surrounding racism on MSU's campus. Dr. Green's basement served as a space for this organization to organize and plan as the central advocacy group for Black students on campus. To this day, Black Student Alliance remains the voice of Black students on campus. We are your advocates, confidants, and support system. Black Student Alliance ensures your voice is heard.

Our Campaign56% of Black students graduate from MSU within a six year span and 19.2% graduate within four years. This campaign is to promote academic growth and challenge retention rates. We challenge you all to not only become greater than 56 but to help others accomplish their goals and challenge someone new to embark on this campaign. When you receive an award, obtain an internship, achieve good academic grades, etc., use the hashtag and let the world know that we are all #GreaterThan56.
The current statistics for this campaign are now 58% graduate within six years and 24% graduate within four. Continue to show that we are #GreaterThan58. (2015)5 |
